Green Spaces in Oadby and Wigston

Green spaces are great for the local community as they provide an environment where people can meet, socialise, have lunch and relax. As well as helping to contribute to the improvement of the health and well-being of people in local towns. They are an ideal place to meet friends, exercise and generally better both your mental and physical well being with a walk/run/cycle.

The Council has a total of 11 parks and sports grounds of varying shapes and sizes spread throughout the Borough. Our parks and open spaces are available for the public to use free of charge.

"Green spaces in the Borough are essential for everyone in my opinion. In open spaces we can look at new surroundings and greenery and activates our five senses. I am passionate about how important green spaces are for people with disabilities and help with physical and mental health challenges." Community Health Champion
