A fantastic evening for the Borough at the recent "Feel Alive at 65" Awards Evening in Loughborough.

For the 6th consecutive year, Leicestershire and Rutland Sport hosted an Awards Evening to rejoice in the participation of sport and physical activity amongst the older generation. Winners from the Borough include:

Frank Booth (Lifelong participation & Oldest athlete)

Norma Wary (Female Active Ageing Award)

Parklands Walking Group (Community Group Award - Social)

Strong and Steady (Community Group Award - Condition Specific)

Haseeb Ahmad was presented with the Disabled Sportsman of the Year Award at Oadby & Wigston Sport Awards last November 2016. Haseeb has just completed another Ironman race in record time - a glorious 10 hours 50 minutes and 26 seconds, a personal best and unofficial world record. Read More »
